The insurance market forecasts indicate that the sector will grow between 9% and 10% in 2016.
In 2015, this growth was 11% in nominal terms, even in the face of a crisis scenario.
The fundamentals of the economy, according to experts, revealed that in 2015 the IPCA had a record of 10.67%; the exchange rate recorded significant deterioration, reaching US $ 3.84; the Selic rate in turn reached the level of 14.25%, GDP fell 4.05%, while the consumer confidence stood at 76.7%.
Still, the unemployment rate increased (6.9%) and real household income fell (- 6.87%).

The insurance activity should continue to grow in Brazil, mainly because of the perceived need for savings and security of families and individuals, by increasing the level of education and the resumption of economic growth.

The insurance industry is a resilient market and the government needs to support it, especially for its importance in forming saving large magnitudes. Saving this for financing all types of investment and business in Brazil.
