According to a survey conducted by the University of Oxford, among the 11 countries surveyed, Brazil has the lowest number of people with life insurance. Only 13% of the population has the benefit, being below the global average, which is 32%.

However, the study also shows that 56% of Brazilians consider buying the product, and even with such numbers, the sector shows progress annually.

The survey also indicates that 78% of respondents in Brazil say they do not know about the products against loss of income caused by death, while 71% do not know the products that prevent loss caused by disability or serious illness.

Another interesting finding discovered by the study is that Brazilians prefer to hire this kind of benefit than depending on support from the government or from employers.
